My Mentality

Amongst the slew of posts revolving around my life, and all the other things I find interest in and what not, lives a good handful of music posts. I've actually included the songs I'm listening to upon publishing the post you the reader would be reading at whatever point you come across it. Music is a huge part of my life, I make it, I love it. So seeing this, this right here? This is, not to sound like Busta Rhymes, this is something that "feels like an entire world collapsed". Attention please....attention please.

I was introduced to Carter Cartier not through music, but via The Hundreds (informally) and via artist Retna (alot more formal) I downloaded his mixtape Carter Family Reunion and since hearing that I was hooked. Many features on Dom Kennedy, Pac Div, etc. songs later, and I was blessed with Legal Trappin another success on his part. And now, after all that success, Drop It I Cop It Carter is still on his top of shit. Came across a number of videos from an Earth Day concert held in L.A. (Dom and Pac Div also performed) and there's a song playing in the beginning of the video and I enjoyed the soul sound that it had, so after a while of searching I came across what is a preview to Carter's next project 100. I don't know much about it, but if the project overall sounds anything like this, it will surely be another successful drop. A three-peat of sorts. Peep it.
