Now Playing - Cee Lo Green "I Want You"
First off Happy Mother's Day to everyone out there, enjoy the time with your family and what not. But before you do that...take a peak at the blog for a quick sec. Just want a few moments of your time, a few moments of your time that's all (now where have I heard that before? Hmmm...). So yesterday I ventured into the sunny streets of D.C. for a pre-Mother's Day brunch with my family, a unique occasion indeed. Not a lot of people (at least the people I know) do a full weekend celebration for a holiday, so when they hear pre-Mother's Day they get a bit thrown off. Eh, stuff like this is nothing new to me, but I digress. So we all headed into D.C. for a nice family dinner, and I can say (and speak for my mother, aunt, and cousin) that the time spent was enjoyable. In fact that entire day was enjoyable. Went to Georgetown in anticipation for the Johnny Cupcakes tour stop which never happened, walked around there for a while. Headed inward into Metro Center and downtown D.C. for a bit of shopping ,and closed the day with a trip to the National Harbor for sushi...always a good time when family is in town (well for the most part it was my mother, my aunt and my cousin for the day. So when with THEM, it's always a good time). And since I was leaving my house, my camera came along for the ride, though I left a few important items at home (i.e. my wallet, ID, etc.). Eh, que sara sara.
